3-60 (Also known as Ed Mallory) is a rap artist who recently announced the release of a new studio work: “We Get It In Motion, Vol.2” - This album is one of the most creatively diverse studio efforts from 3-60, and it also features some amazing collaborators. Recording artist Taylor Hill contributed to some of the music, while Michael D Foster, Charles Anderson members of Social House, Dexx Rashad, and William Howells helped out with some killer production chops. Originally from Pittsburgh, Ed is now based in LA, where he’s been refining his chops for the last few years and deeply improving the sound of his flow and production! “We Get It In Motion, Vol. 1” was a stunning trap release in its own right, but he took his sound and vibe to a whole new level, stepping up the game with “We Get It In Motion, Vol. 2.” The songs are really balanced and very detail-oriented, making for a lively, edgy and stark sonic approach. In other words, there are many subtle nuances in this release, which really add to the richness of the track when summed up together. The frequency spectrum of the mix is also very balanced, with a tight, yet deep low end working wonders along with a smooth top end, which adds a sense of clarity to the music. The production makes 3-60’s vocal flow really stand out!
With this amazing new album, 3-60 proved to the world that he is not your average rapper. His music is not filled with the usual cliches of the genre, but it rather feels like a genuine and spontaneous depiction of his attitude. He is all about cars, and receiving checks by getting autographs on contracts! Even though volume one was quite an emotional record, it also had a lot to do with experiencing street life. With vol 2, he actually goes to the opposite end, because he is in a totally different place right now, where the artist is no longer risking his freedom just to provide food and a better, more luxurious lifestyle for himself and his family!
